Carl Giavanti is a winery publicist with a DTC wine marketing background. He also writes a wine industry blog and interviews wine personalities. The consulting focus is winery PR & Media communications and its relation to consumer direct marketing. While most PR firms serve large corporate entities across multiple industries, Carl works exclusively with small, family-run wineries – the folks with the best stories, but the least visibility in a crowded marketplace.
The goal is to help winery clients build their brands and earn recognition and publicity in their key markets. Carl consults, recommends, manages and helps promote their stories and wines, as well as develop a comprehensive media strategy and on-point messaging appropriate for the target audience.
More than 20 years of experience in corporate sales identifying key selling points, cultivating relationships, formulating big-picture strategies, and executing on a plan proved a natural fit for this type of work.
